Arrow Season 6 Spoilers – EP Reveals Oliver as Center of Upcoming Crossover

When it was announced that there is going to be another major crossover in the upcoming seasons of “Arrow,” “The Flash,” “Legends of Tomorrow,” and “Supergirl,” it was also revealed that a wedding will take place in the special episode. However, instead of the bride and groom being the focus of the story, it apparently is someone else.

Speaking with TV Guide, executive producer Wendy Mericle revealed some exciting details about the much-awaited Arrowverse crossover titled “Crisis on Earth-X.” While it is going to feature the wedding of Central City’s speedster Barry Allen (Gustin Grant) and Iris West (Candice Patton), the crossover will actually center on Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell).

“It’s Oliver and one other character in the Arrow-verse’s story,” she said. “It really explores the question of true love, and what does that look like? It’s emotionally really compelling, and you’re going to be surprised by what he learns and how he learns it and who he learns it from. It’s pretty crazy stuff, I’m not going to lie,” she added.

Mericle did not reveal more, especially about from whom Oliver learns the meaning of true love. However, fans speculate that it is going to be his love interest, Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards).

What viewers can expect in the upcoming crossover episode is also the arrival of the heroes’ evil doppelgangers from Earth-X, which is said to interrupt Barry and Iris’ wedding. As to how all this will turn out to be Oliver’s story, fans are soon going to find out when the Arrowverse shows return for all new seasons this month.

Meanwhile, “Arrow” actor Amell recently talked to TV Line regarding the success of the previous season and teased where the show is headed for season 6. He recalls having dinner with show producer Greg Berlanti and telling him what they needed to do for the series.

“If we’re going to do this show, let’s really do it,” Amell said. “Let’s be morally ambiguous with the characters and make it more three-dimensional and put killing back on the table, let’s move away from trying to be like everyone else. Let’s focus on being Arrow,” the actor added.

With that said, it looks like the upcoming season is still going to be as action-packed as before, or even more.

“Arrow” season 6 premieres Thursday, Oct. 12, at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
